These aims underpin all that we try to achieve with your children.
LearningWe aim to create a safe learning environment free from bullying or harassment in which all members of the school community can flourish with enthusiasm and develop enquiring minds, to enjoy and achieve to each child’s potential.
Spiritual / AestheticWe aim to promote an appreciation of the natural and human-made world through a broad range of experiences. This includes an openness to ideas and an awareness of the richness of cultural diversity.
Self EsteemWe aim to give all members of the school community the respect, status and the recognition of the positive contributions that all make, and so to encourage the growth of high self esteem and regard for others.
Work EthicIn promoting self esteem we aim to produce a work ethic recognising that the core activity of the school is learning. We recognise the value of good discipline, high expectations and high standards and the accepting of the individual’s responsibility to the group. Children are nurtured to achieve their potential so that they are ready for the next stages of learning and can benefit from future economic well being.
TechnologyWe aim to utilise to the full extent the possibilities that new technologies offer the school community for better communications and access to a wider world, to support future economic well being.
OpportunityWe aim actively to promote the opportunities of all members of the school community equally and fairly without prejudice. Children are involved in decision making through the School Council and class councils.
LifeWe aim to be a part in making a positive difference to the lives of all members of our school community. We promote healthy living through awareness of healthy eating and exercise habits. We aim to develop the view that each individual recognises that learning is a life long activity and that current moments contribute to experience.
CommunityWe aim to play a part of the global community by starting from our school community working with parents and carers. Working with Highgate Infants, our partner school, we reach out to the town of Kings Lynn, our county, our country and then the wider world. We also aim to encourage those communities to become a part of our experience at Eastgate School to help prepare us all to make a useful contribution to our world.
